How do I stop my friend from spreading rumors about me?

I like this guy named Mitch. My bff likes him too. I don't like as much as she does. I still like this other guy more. My bff asked him out and he said no. She wasn't that upset about it so i told her i liked him too. Then, she went off and told my other friend that i liked him. My other friend started texting me and told me i was a jerk for liking him and now i'm not talking to her. Then i talked to my bff about it and we're cool now she apologized. But my other friend is telling the whole school that i'm a jerk and i don't know what to do. How do i make her stop?
