Does UPS only ship to your door?? (read description) ?

I Ordered a very important piece of clothing off a site and they ship through UPS. and I was reading thier site and they said something about haveing to sign a package? Ummmm.. I live in a very small town and I put my post office for shipping to, and I sure wont be there to sign anything, what will happen??? will they just take it back???
