Accidentally scd inside of ear with q-tip, could this be problematic?

Last night, while cleaning my ear with a q-tip, without looking at it first, I stuck it in my ear and twirled it around, and then experienced the most painful thing ever. It turn out there was no soft part on the end of the q-tip so I had scd the inside of my ear with basically a stick. It was bleeding a little, but I would think that that was normal, considering. Now it hurts a little bit (dully), like a dull earache. Is it possible that I did some serious damage or am I just paranoid?
