How would your feelings change if you found that non-Christians aren't going to Hell?

Most Christians feel very comfortable with the notion that non-believers are going to Hell. If more of them studied comparative religion, they would discover that there are other belief systems that do not threaten non-believers. I wonder how much the "specialness" of Christians would be diminished if they discovered that, in fact, God was more tolerant
