My Mom&Dad atiel just laid another egg and out of safety.....?

We used to have atiels a few years back and sometimes they would lay eggs and out of no where, they would literally break the egg and toss it out of the nest box onto the cage floor. So one time, I took the last egg that was left and i put it in my dresser drawer on a heating pad and 2 weeks later, it hatched! It only lived for about 3 weeks and something was wrong with it because it couldnt sit on my finger and couldn't walk. I think the parents know that theres something wrong with the baby before its even hatched.
