What to do near Anaheim for a couple hours?

I am getting in to John Wayne Airport at about 10:00 on a Thursday and we can take a shuttle to our hotel right afterwards, but check in time isnt until 3:00...any ideas on what to do from about 10:30am to 3pm? I am also leaving on Sunday at about 6pm, so we have to leave the hotel at about 3pm, but I dont know what to do from check out time until about 3pm? Any ideas, they would be extremely helpful. Also ways to get to and from what you are saying would be great too. I was thinking about possibly figuring out a way to the beach from the airport and then going back to the airport to catch the shuttle to my hotel. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
